We’re sharing with you our top five cheapest places to visit in the USA to help you plan your next big adventure. Because we want you to be able to travel more and spend less!

New Orleans, Louisiana

If you’re interested in music, you’ll be interested in a trip to New Orleans for sure. You’ll find buskers on every corner and bands performing throughout the day and night in local bars. And these musical experience don’t have to cost you a lot or anything at all. The city is great for those on a budget because of the volume of free activities you can take part in: from watching a parade, shopping at the Crescent City Farmers Market or checking out the street performers at Jackson Square.

Atlanta, Georgia

Being one of the country’s major airline hubs, Atlanta is a great destination to visit on a budget. Atlanta is best known for being the home to the 1996 Olympic Games and major sporting events but there’s so much more in this amazing city. For less than $10 a person you could visit any or all of these amazing attractions: Centennial Olympic Park, Fernbank Science Centre, Atlanta Contemporary Art Center and many more! And if you fancy an outdoor adventure whilst in Atlanta head to Piedmont Park or walk along the 61.5 mile Silver Comet trail.

Philadelphia, Pennsylvania 

If you’re looking to explore a major US city, but haven’t quiet got the budget for NYC, why not give Philadelphia a try? There is an abundance of cheap and free things to do in the city. Sample a local Philly Cheesesteak at Reading Terminal Market, spend an afternoon or two discovering the mosaics and street art and get yourself a history fix whilst you’re at it too.

Chicago, Illinois

Despite being known for amazing pizza, Chicago is a major American city that is as affordable as it is friendly. Welcoming visitors from every corner of the world with its second-to-none theater, comedy such as Second City and the unparalleled Art Institute Museum, Chicago has it all. And if you’re looking for some local, yet cheap, food you have to try a Chicago-style hot dog topped with sport peppers, tomato slices, and bright green relish from Hot Doug’s on the North Side!

Las Vegas, Nevada

This may be surprise to some, but a trip to Las Vegas is not as expensive as you think. Behind the bright lights of the casinos you can actually find a lot of activities and entertainment involving little or no money at all. Watch the mesmerising Symphony of Fountains outside Bellagio’s hotel, take a walk through Venice without even boarding a plane or just enjoy taking it easy and walk along Las Vegas Boulevard. Plus if you get your hands on a Las Vegas Pass whilst you’re out there you’ll be able to save on those experiences that do cost that little bit extra.
